Live vilain lo MBC…Orange Sitara video..

lol…. haha!

I was blogging another event, the Fancy Fair at Saint Joseph’s College today, but there was an unexpected incident on Orange Sitara, which was live on TV and i was just next to the tv set, so i immediately took my mob and started to take pics and record some mins of video…

One of the participant scored less marks than the others, and was pushed into the “Danger Zone” as they call it there.The Danger Zone generally has 2-3 participants every week and the one who gets (begs) the larger number of votes from the general public through sms voting, is the one who wins and is allowed to continue with the competition, the others simply get eliminated.

Tonight, on the announcement of the results, 1 person of the audience, i think its one of the supporters of the participant who got into the danger zone(not sure) was not happy by the decision of the jury.

He got up and started to protest.

The mbc was quite professional on that part haha, they even filmed some secs of that scene, and later they switched the camera to some other angle…

Then the presentator started talking, saying its the LIVE and not everyone will be happy blablabla…

When it was the turn of the 3 participants to ask for the public to vote for them, One guy said something which meant the following (sorry but i dont remember the exact words);

It would be nice if the jury could tell him what was his errors and please sing the song in the correct way!

Some of the audience immediately started to clap hands and the members of the jury were quite ‘annoyed’.

Later when one of the 3mentors spoke, he gently asked the jury to comment why the boy was put into danger zone…

Then the jury (to the left) took the microphone and explained, blabla, then the lady( to the right ) took the mike and made another blabla.

Its SURPRISING how the 3rd member of the jury had nothing to add, specially after his first speech on the first broadcast where he was very uncomfortable with the mike! Read a that post here regarding that broadcast and the other things which happenned!

  1. You are absolutely right! i watched that sequence. Indeed these things can happen when there is a live show but i was also wondering that it could have been set up since our dear MBC likes to copy a lot of things. My attention was also drawn by 2 messages sent by the public thru sms. one was mentioning the name of several participants who should not have taken part in that show n should have given that place to others and the other was abt the MBC should not copy from from programme.
    Though there has been much organisation into creating that show, y cant they for once have done something of good quality.. c’est vraiement deplorable.

    Anyhoo.. oyee fanxx fur postin dat.. i wanted to catch a glimpse ov da show.. ‘m happi nuff mbc is promotin young talents on tv.. Buh wuda bin much mre betta if dey were to do ofa things aprt frm uss singin n awl..
    *& OMG i was bea pissed c’in somwun in dat clip.. AfTa chatin bea shit bou MRU SUX … Mauricien ici labas.. FiGiR La StiLL suckin up tu a platform he probli wudnt av goh in his own country!!

  7. Enfin! MBC (Mauricien Bane Couyons) that’s what the people working there think of us i guess! lol!

    Orange Sitara is like SA RE GA MA PA…

    At leat in India even thoses who get rejected in preliminaries can sing better than the ‘mentors’ or ‘juries’ here in muaritius.

    It’s such a ashame! Am sure there are far better singers in Mauritius but they don’t have family working at the MBC so they do not participater or win bogus singing competitions.

    MBC favours sisters, brothers, cousins, daughters, nieces…etc..etc..etc…

    Ayo! Orange Sitara is a joke…what do the ‘mentors’ really know! They all want to copy SA RE GA MA PA…

    And the asking for vote thing..the only time i saw it i wanted to kick the guy who was asking..what a shame! he was begging for it! c’mon! why beg!!!??? it was awful

    Since i’m condemned to watch TV (& hence Orange Sitaram), there was a big twist yesterday! 😮

    If anyone was wondering why there was no SMS voting this week, that’s bcoz among the two candidates, one was suspended! :s
    It’s the same boy whose “elimination” was contested by the one of the members of the audience & who asked for more clarifications with the jury! 😐
    I guess the jury was highly annoyed by the boy’s audacity & decided to axe him… talk about fairness & freedom of speech! LOL

    1. The guy put the jury in a very embarassing situation
    2. and also, mainly to prevent such cases in the future, if they decided to let this incident unpunished, there would be more afterwards…

    one thing mo pas trop comprend, sa lot jury la, boug ki imper parait couyon couyon la, li pas kone kozer? LOL !

    I think they need to wake up now.. the presentors and all, i think they must be made aware of the fact that they are not playing in an indian movie.. tou sa cinema la?? ❓ 😡
    Whenevr a participant is out, that Adi just start singing.. whats the use?? Ridiculous ❗ Is he trying to reassure them? I really dn’t feel so.

  26. @aatish: Orange sitara & its whole series of programs by Amb.Mossa* will continue to put our national television to shame as long as uneducated(?) people support them through their sms “Long Live Orange Sitara”, “Orange Sitara is the best”.
