Not later than yesterday morning, I shared last year's post promoting the various leisure activities offered at reduced price for the public holiday of the 1st May 2012. Few hours ago, the prime minister announced that his labour party won't be holding any political gatherings on this day because of the tragic floods of the 30th March 2013.
Two days ago, on the 30th March 2013, the country has survived the worst day ever in its history. After the torrential rainfall of the 13th February 2013, Mauritians never thought that there could be worst.
I find it sad that the beach reached this state today but nevertheless, I wonder if the few parking areas created will be sufficient to accommodate all those vehicles.
On Sunday, the country woke up with a shocking news: A police motor officer of 30yrs lost his life when a 4x4 vehicle, driven by Jordan Jeremy Lenon Philippe hit him in the region of Flic En Flac.
No news are confirmed yet at this moment but it seems that the Police arrested the driver who was apparently drunk.
