Just like most of you, many of my purchases never reached my home address for the past 2 years, except those shipped via premium shipping. Here is a small update on online shopping, shipping and custom procedures in Mauritius.
The last one for 2021… Today, I’m writing about MyUS.com, a popular shipping forwarder which will forward your US & UK parcels to your real address, here in Mauritius. This turns out to be particularly useful for us Mauritians as many sellers (across most e-commerce platforms) around the world have closed their doors on us, making it very difficult to grab things from your wishlist.
Earlier today, I stumbled upon a communiqué from the ICTA. From what one can read, the ICTA will now have a web site from which all import applications (permits / type approval certificates) need to be made. Although the word "ZIP" code is sometimes wrongly used, it is worth mentioning... Continue Reading →
Most online shopping addicts have been surprised by the ICTA's Communique published yesterday. I must admit that I was confused too and I immediately mailed ICTA so that I could get in touch with someone before I post anything on my blog. Without getting any reply to my mail, I gave them a call today...
