Update (18 April 2009)

Ok everyone, your time is up!

As most of you have guessed, this picture was taken in the north of the island, more exactly at Le Victoria Hotel, Pointe Aux Piments!

You can see the location here on google maps.

As I said several times, only precise answers will be accepted.

So, we have only 2 Winners :

  • Shaamal (Comment has just been approved)
  • Krista A (Facebook)

@Winners : Congrats, hope that I can offer them some gifts on the next game 😛

@Everyone : Thanks for being so lively in this post!

In fact, at the start wanted to make a “Picture of the day” post, but later I added the “Guess where?”.

    @Deepa : Guess guess…

@Yashi : Good, now try to zoom in.

@Bob : I dont think we have oil-rigs in Mauritius. Do we?
I dont know what it is really, some sort of container terminal?
Here is another enlarged image of the thing : http://www.yashvinblogs.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/dontwalkrocks-oilrig.jpg

@Carrot : Not exactly, but quite near.

  2. Container terminal? Somewhere close to P Louis then…? Or somewhere along the coastline between P-Louis and Pts Aux Cannoniers…?

  3. Probably a forage drill.

Ah, wey… now I remember where that is. Near Casuarina hotel. 😛

    Here are the coordinates:
    -20.025909, 57.549171

Erosion is taking a huge toll on our once pristine beaches… 😦 Just a few years ago, there weren’t any rocks there… 😦
