videomachina, No illegal copying of mauritian bloggers content!

I am angry!

I came across another mauritian blog who has copied one of my original videos from my blog without my permission, nor without even specifying the source or link of the original one.

After some investigation, I came to the following conclusion :

This mauritian blog, owned by a certain Afiif Mag**o mainly consists of youtube videos which he copied (illegally?) from here and there.

On the posts I saw, none of them mention any source or link to the original one.

As mentioned above, I noticed incoming links to my youtube video from his blog and visited that page to enquire…

btw, I wish to thank all bloggers who helped me, I won’t quote your names, but if you wish, you can add ur comment here to claim some credits 🙂

Big thanks to the detective Selven for his precious help!

btw, he knows perfectly what he is doing, since I don’t think he has put the following text on his about page without thinking twice.

Not even any email address!

If he wants to get in touch with me, he can do so !

I have blogged against him because simply he did not give me any other choice to contact him directly!

Thanks a lot to Facebook and the local blogging network!

Yashvin, pages of my life

I just want to say something to those who think they are too “malin” to copy stuff, especially from local bloggers! I agree that none of us may be 100% legal, but do respect others when u can !

I think that we are a solid bloggers network, even if its not official yet.

If you don’t know how to write up something by yourself, an advice : QUIT BLOGGING !

Blogging is not about copying others stuff, and above all, without any permission nor any link/credits!

As you have perhaps noticed, since some time, I am putting my blog on all the pictures or videos, I would encourage all of you to do the same to discourage illegal copying of pictures/videos.

Allez hop le goudron et les plumes à la Afiif alias videomachina!

Btw, I haven’t mentioned his full name anywhere, so no case of diffamation 😛

  7. Sorry for not mentioning the source of your local home-made video.(I have just put the link to your site).I’ve noticed that only the international videos have their sources mentioned on my blog. I’ll scan through this after the exams.

Anyway, thanks for the FREE advertising.

  11. I think the guy had the right to use the video. Linking back I think is a question of courtesy. I love web 2.0! I love freedom!

  12. @Kailash: Exactly Kailash!
Thats the main issue! He did not even linked back nor mentioned that the video is not his. As you rightly said, irs a question of courtesy, and seems that he is not aware how to be courteous!

Thnks for ur comment dear 🙂
Cheers for web 2.0 and blogging !
