In March 2014, the ICTA published a communique to inform the public about the existing regulations which will henceforth be more strictly enforced. But today, I am hereby confirming this fact : No permits (TAC) is needed to clear out of the customs if you are importing mobile phones for personal use.

Bad news for college students eligible for the free tablets announced long time back as in this previous article. A press article today states that the tablets won't have access to certain web sites without any pedagogical usefulness or relevance, for example Facebook.

For the past 30 minutes, I have been struggling to write this post, starting over again and again while trying to think how to share that feeling I have right now. That feeling of how badly Mauritius has been doing not only during this month but since the first days of the year itself.
