Smart idea to avoid scratching your vehicle when pulling in the garage.

garage-2

While pulling my car in the garage this evening, I realized that I had a potential topic to write for the blog.

I grab this opportunity to say a big hi to all those who regularly pull my legs about the topics I usually blog. As you probably noticed if you come here regularly, the topics discussed are of a wide variety; Web / tech / gadget related stuff to Mauritius, news headlines, trending debates and most importantly, daily life.

Coming back to today’s post, some drivers might agree that parking your car into the garage demands some concentration and let’s say, judging skills. Unless your garage looks like a train station or an airport (or you have those recent cars with sensors all around you), a minimum amount of preciseness is needed to avoid bumping into the front wall with your car.

So, I fetched my camera for a better illustration of my point:

Why two of them? Simple. I can drive the car into the garage in both ways. With the help of the doll, you can easily drive in until it touches the car. Of course, you need to accurately position the doll beforehand. Don’t worry, no toys were harmed or damage in the making of this post.  (I know that the red doll looks like it was hanged lol)

As you can guess, pulling the car into the garage becomes a piece of cake. No need for anyone to guide you through and most importantly, it saves you lot of time and it actually works great.

  1. From afar, I would bet that (1) the blackboard indicates someone giving private tuitions and (2) hanged dolls = voodoo.

    Therefore (1) + (2) = private tuitions in voodoo 🙂

Imagine that instead of hanging nice clean dolls, you hanged other apparently creepy stuff, like stuffed animals, old clothing/magazines, masks, coconut shells, dried spices/insects, etc… I guess you’d be submerged with… clients! 🙂

  2. If you don’t know where your car’s body stops and starts. . you need to reconsider driving. 🙂

Just to be on the topic: Or you can put a used tire against the wall.Well, better than dolls.:)

  3. Why not just put 2 marker lines on the walls ( cot retroviseur la ). Its the best way as i need to put 2 cars in my garage now and it was quite a burden for me too. But dolls… Imagine u fight with someone before leaving home…. and they move the rope a bit backwards…. Aweeee….

  5. Pretty simple and discrete method: Just put a wooden plank at the mark you need your tyres to stop. This way, you can go all the way until your tires feel the resistance of the wood… Get my point?
